Electrik Red’s Debut Is On Point!

“Muah”: Electrik Red proclaims that their kissing game is the shit on “Muah”. They kiss their way through a chorus similar to the chorus on “So Good”. Electrik Guitars and all. This track couldn’t get any more seductive. EarStyle.NET Rating: 5/5

“So Good”: This track is “So Ooh Shit Damn So Good”, Tricky and the Dream really did their thing on this head knodding track. With the right promo this track could be doing so much more damage on the airwaves right now. The video is also a nice treat from this sexy, yet fun group. EarStyle.NET Rating: 5/5

“Devotion”: Electrik Red exposes their devotion to the lucky gentleman who has them for the night. It’s a nice little slow joing very reminscent of a Dream slow number off either one of his albums. Beautiful harmonies from the ladies. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4.5/5

“Freaky Freaky”: We’d love for the DJ to play this. Sexy vocals and a catchy chorus. There should be plenty of addictive choruses on this album since Dream wrote everything. Not bad ladies. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4/5

“Bed Rest”: The production is kind of different here. Didn’t really expect this. This kind of reminds me of like an early 2000’s Pop track. Production actually reminds me of something Danja would do. Electrik Red doesn’t know why they are feeling down when you are giving them all they want and more. Hmmm…not bad. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4/5

“Friend Lover”: Not that big of a fan of this track, but the video is cool. The song also has a very catchy bridge that may actually be better than the song’s hook. Even though it’s not at the top of my list the track is still pretty good. EarStyle.NET Rating: 3.5/5

“P Is For Power”: This is Electrik Red’s third official single from their debut album. The track has a catchy melody where they brag about their “P”. Yes, their P. Group member Sarah tells the unlucky guy that he’s not no Jay-Z or no Wayne. You know what that means? He ain’t getting no P, No! LOl, but the track is catchy and it should be interesting to see how the track will do on radio. Earstyle.NET Rating: 4/5

“W.F.Y.”: Tricky & The Dream gives Electrik Red a crazy uptempo number on “W.F.Y.”, better known as “We F*ck You”. Electrik Red tells their men that the ladies are the ones dominating in bed. I would really like to see a video for this one lol. The production is crazy and Lesley sounds great on the verses. This is definitely a highlight on the album. EarStyle.NET Rating: 5/5

“9 to 5″: Los Da Mystro nailed this track. The track is reminescent of an old Motown Girl Group song. Electrik Red wants you to work them like a 9 to 5. Alright, when does the job start? EarStyle.NET Rating: 4.5/5

“On Point”: This is one of the most addictive tracks on this album. The track mainly features singer/rapper/dancer Binkie. The track gives off a Kelis vibe, but it is dope nonetheless. The beat is kind of like a video game theme song. This track is probably what the group needs on radio. Try to not move your shoulders when this song comes on. It’s impossible. EarStyle.NET Rating: 5/5

“Drink In My Cup (ft. The Dream)”: Here is the original first single from the album. When I first heard this last year I wasn’t really impressed. I don’t know why? The track is pretty hot! I was definitely sleeping and the video for this track is pretty hot as well. I mean come on the girls had a hwole routine in bathroom stalls. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4/5

“Go Shawty”: My favorite track on the album. The song is extremely sexy and would be another great candidate for radio. Who does not want to hear the lovely ladies of Electrik Red purring over a sexy beat and singing about them being sexually pleased? For the first time ever…EarStyle.NET Rating: 6/5

“Kill Bill”: Remember Rihanna’s “Breakin Dishes”? That track was also done by Tricky Stewart & The Dream. This track gives off the same uptempo “killer” vibe. Lesley proclaims how she will Kill Bill first thing in the morning for being up in teh clubs getting his freak on. R.I.P. to the guy who played Bill in the amazing “Kill Bill” series. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4/5

“So Good (ft. Lil’ Wayne)”: To close the album out we are offered the Lil’ Wayne assisted remix to “So Good”. Nothing different here but an half-decent verse from Rap heavyweight Wayne. EarStyle.NET Rating: 4/5

13. Kill Bill – Side note: I love that movie! But I would love to see a video for this. It should be hot. I think this is one of the most creative tracks on the album.

14. So Good Remix – Same opinion as the original. Wayne definitely blessed the track with a usual hot 16, it was a nice edition, and I’m glad it stayed to the origins of the track. Plain, simple, and SO GOOD.

Overall- 4 out of 5 stars. There wasn’t too much I didn’t like. The production is ON POINT!!! Dream is a lyrical genius, and he picked the perfect girls to present the music. Beautiful and Sexy with personality, what more could u ask for?? Do what they say, cop a couple. It’s definitely worth it.
