There’s always that one song that you wish everyone else had an opportunity to hear. Whether the album tanked or the song was just simply overlooked there is that one song. In 2006, Pharrell released his solo debut, In My Mind after a few delays. When you think of the album you might think of the hit single, “Number One” featuring Kanye West or even “Can I Have It Like That” featuring Gwen Stefani. One of my personal favorites from the album is the track, “You Can Do It Too”. Pharrell took a laid back production and delivered some witty and raw lines on the track. For me the track is a song that just inspires me to really do it big and basically ignore the naysayers. In My Mind was a really solid album and I’m surprised “That Girl” didn’t catch on like it should have. Check out “You Can Do It Too” and if you haven’t heard In My Mind definitely do that as soon as you can.
