Lupe’s back! This is the Lupe that I was missing. Lupe pays tribute to Hip-Hop on the first single taken from Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album. Everyone isn’t too happy with the single though! Pete Rock took to his twitter to vent about the use of the sample of his track “T.R.O.Y.” and even called out “unoriginal” producers and artists that sample. Pete Rock…aren’t you kind of known for sampling? Come on. Let Lupe be great.

The Rita Ora craze has started and I have to admit that I have a little Rita fever. After releasing the video for her US single “How We Do (Party)”, Rita announced that she is the US’s VEVO Lift artist. To celebrate Rita is giving fans the opportunity to enter a contest to attend one of two private showcases in either NYC or LA. To enter visit her official site here.

It’s crazy to hear some of the material they have Rita singing, especially since her voice is insane. I don’t even know why she’s receiving some comparisons that she’s getting, because her stage presence and vocals are Grade A.
