Today marks the 13th anniversary of Christopher Wallace’s death, so it would only be right to dedicate today’s throwback video to Mr. Biggie himself. Sit back, reminisce, and enjoy the “Hypnotize” video. I chose this track, because well it is just one of the best hip-hop club songs and the feeling is just nostalgic. Listening to the song and watching the video just take me back to good times and I am sure it will do the same for you on this sunny Tuesday morning. R.I.P. Biggie and let’s keep the peace America!

What a perfect way to start a beautiful day in ATL! B.o.B released the debut video off his “The Adventures of Bobby Ray” album this morning on MTV and it’s definitely just as good as the song. This is kind of what we expected from Wale for “Pretty Girls”, but of course it would have been too right for him to have a decent video for the track. This video is full of eye candy, and is definitely on the creative side. Watch the video to see who B.o.B ultimately leaves with in this paper cut-out world of his.

Talk about knowing how to completely market a product until there’s nothing left. KanYe just dropped a video for “Coldest Winter” off of his “808 & Heartbreak” album. This definitely came by surprise as KanYe is currently in the studio working on his next album. The video is no different than any other KanYe video. It brilliantly uses fashion, art, and story telling to bring a story to life in ways that not many other artists can do. KanYe never fails to impress me with the videos. On another note though, I am kind of looking forward to Spring and the seasons to change…maybe this should have been released in let’s say, November or December?

Here is Monica’s first video from her “Still Standing” project, for the Missy Elliott produced “Everything To Me”. Monica looks great in the clip, but the plot really doesn’t match the song. We will give her a B for effort though. The song is a favorite though and is currently climbing the charts thanks to regaining public attention with her show “Still Standing” and her appearance on Keyshia Cole’s “Trust”. Her album is due next month and we are definitely looking forward to it!

Check out the Melina directed clip for Rihanna’s latest “Rated R” single “Rude Boy”. As soon as the video drops I have flashbacks of M.I.A.’s “Boyz” video. Hell her whole catalog. However, the video works for Rihanna. It’s one of her best actually. Very colorful and vibrant. It’s a nice change of pace for this dark era. Job well done…hopefully the next single is “Cold Case Love”, which in my opinion is her best song period. Justin Timberlake really wrote a masterpiece.

Let’s take a trip back to the past, where music was more tolerable and easy to understand. I was about 6 or 7 when this song was released. I remember myself being a easy music-lover at such a young age. Not really knowing what this song was about, I would often recite the song’s lyrics and get into trouble, but the melody of this song is just beautiful!

So, now much older, I’ve grown to realize what this song is based on and the powerful message to their fans. And I’ve set on a journey to reminisce and cherish beautiful music and sweet memories!

Actually, I wanted the throwback video to be “Gimme Some More”…I will always remember that crazy video! Unfortunately, the video is not on YouTube (I guess some copyright issues). However, here’s another hot video from Busta Rhymes! Much darker than the colorful, but outrageous “Gimme Some More”, however this video is just as entertaining. Dope song to go along with some crazy tribal visuals.
