August 17th is right around the corner! Here’s another entry in the EarStyle “Dondria vs. Phatfffat” countdown. Today, I have one of Dondria’s first So So Def tracks, “Can’t Stop”. I don’t believe this song will be on the album, but you can buy it on Itunes! Here’s a track that was recorded before Dondria signed with So So Def. I really hope the voice is not held back on her upcoming album, because this proves that this girl can really sing. Spankin’ New Video: Dondria ft. Diamond & Johnta Austin – “Shawty Wus Up”

MTV2 premiered the new video for Dondria’s second single “Shawty Wus Up”. The video was directed by G Visuals, the same people behind her first video “You’re The One”. I like the video. It’s simple and it have a nice little summer vibe. That’s all the song really needed. The ladies are looking good and the video even features cameos by Jermaine Dupri and choreographer Devyne Stephens (TLC, Usher, Ciara). Check it out and make sure y’all cop the album August 17th!

Oh, you fancy huh? Dondria tells us why she thinks she is a fancy lady on her freestyled remix to Drake’s “Fancy”. The video for “Shawty Wuts Up” is supposed to drop tomorrow! I know, I know…there have been a few push backs with the video, but it is coming! The album will be dropping August 17th! It will be a good one so make sure y’all cop that!

NEWS FLASH: The Album will now be dropping August 17th to allow time for her second single “Shawty Wus Up” to grow.
Now, back to our countdown. Here is an exclusive preview of Dondria’s new album. Judging from this sampler alone, I can already tell that “Dondria vs. Phatfffat” will be a solid R&B offering. It’s refreshing to get that these days since everyone is moving into the Dance and Euro-Pop direction. Not that anything is wrong with that, but we still need that variety! Check it out!

I know, I know. I am a day late, but I was having some problems with my internet connection, but everything is good now and we are back on track! Here’s a snippet of Dondria singing “Kissed By The Sun”, a ballad that will appear on the album which is set to drop August 3rd! It’s a beautiful song that I am definitely looking forward to. Exclusive Interview: Dondria is More Than Phatfffat!

Drop + New Single “Shawty Wus Up” ft. Johnta Austin & Diamond

You may know Dondria as Phatfffat that pretty girl who’s always eating and covering others songs, but the beautiful vocalist wants to prove that she is more than a voice! With a top 10 single and a sick voice she is well on her way to stardom.

-How are you?

I’m good! How are you?

-I’m great. It’s been a while. Last time we talked it was like a year or two years ago.

Oh gosh. It’s been a long time.

-Congratulations on the single! “You’re The One” has really taken off. Everyone is singing it from fathers to mothers to the children. People even said their churches are making gospel renditions. It’s crazy!

Ok. I was saying “really?” My church tried to, but I was like “No! Stop it.” (Laughs)

-When the organs come on it takes you to church a little bit though. Especially once you start singing. How does it feel having people cover your song? That’s how you started doing covers so I know it must be crazy?

Yes! It feels great. I think that a lot of times it’s so surreal, because that was me singing other people’s songs. It’s like things switched. I don’t even know. Sometimes I’m even speechless, because it’s like wow. I really did like a 360.

Spankin’ New Video: Dondria – “You’re The One”

Here’s an artist that I’ve been following since the beginning of their career. Dondria literally went from YouTube videos to getting her own music video…and the single is doing pretty darn good. Check her out in her debut music video for her hit single “You’re The One”. My homie Brandon Hines also makes an appearance in the video. Check it out yall!

New Music: Dondria ft. JD – You’re The One Remix

There’s nothing like a good old fashioned remix that’s actually a remix. Instead of just throwing a rapper on the remix to Dondria’s “You’re The One” she linked up with Jermaine Dupri and DJ Chuckie for an uptempo smash. New lyrics, new vocals, new everything and we love it! She is definitely on our radar for 2010. If you are not familiar with her, she was actually discovered on YouTube by Jermaine Dupri and he signed her to So So Def. They are currently wrapping up her debut, “Dondria vs. Phatfffat”.
