Kanye Looks To Change The World With DONDA

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye. Last night Kanye took to Twitter to inspire the masses instead of rant. During the three hour power tweet session, Kanye dispelled rumors of his new Fashion line being called Donda West, and even confirmed that the DWFashion twitter page was a fake. Moments later, Kanye took us on a journey which eventually lead into the announcement of his new design company DONDA, appropriately named after his mother Dr. Donda West.

“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas,” Kanye West tweeted. According to his tweets he is looking for graphic designers, lawyers, teachers, A&Rs, and just about anyone else that could make a huge difference in the world.

“DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all waaaay doper than me. We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel…to dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.. To marry our wants and needs. DONDA”

Before logging out, Kanye shared that he was funding his fashion endeavors solely out of pocket and had no backing whatsoever, he showed gratitude for being the most nominated at this year’s Grammys ceremony, and revealed that he had not purchased a new car or jewelry in two years. Man, you have to love this guy. One of the greatest things he shared was contact info for anyone that would be interested in contributing to DONDA.

Fashion Report: Watch the Throne Tour, The Wardrobe

The Watch The Throne tour hit DC, so me and our very own EarStyle.NET founder (Zay) took a road trip to see the dynamic duo. The concert was pretty awesome! Kanye had a “Yeezy” moment with the lightning man that the crowd ate up. What was more important was what they were wearing.

Kanye: Pushing the boundaries with the standard of hip hop fashion. The Don himself sported a shirt and jacket by none of than the chic Givenchy, to pair with a leather kilt, black leather pants and the Air Yeezys 2. The crowd embraced him and his high fashion persona.

Jay-Z: Hov being a Hip-Hop legend himself remained true to the gritty image of Hip-Hop. He sported a New York Yankees fitted, Otis american flag out of his back pocket, black jacket and jeans completed with a pair of black Timberlands, as he rocked the stage.
