It’s been over 10 years and Cash Money’s Mystikal is back with his brand new video “Original” featuring Birdman and Lil’ Wayne. Are you anticipating Mystikal’s return? A Neptunes x Mystikal track would be pretty dope.

5. T.I. x Kanye West x Jay-Z x M.I.A.x Lil’ Wayne – “Swagga Like Us” 2009 Grammys

Who can forget this Powerhouse performance? How many times will you get T.I., Kanye, Hov, M.I.A., and Lil’ Wayne all on one stage? The Black & White added to the greatness of this performance. The main thing that was going through most minds was M.I.A. going to drop that baby on stage live. She did give birth just a few days later. Don’t really use “swag”, but that stage was full of it.

4. Kanye West Wins First Grammy Award 2005 Grammy Awards

Let’s be real. There were plenty of Yeezy moments and not all were completely “bad”. Here’s footage of Kanye West accepting his very first Grammy Award in 2005 for his College Dropout album. While he didn’t get ushered off the stage with background music like he did a few years later, he did leave us with this question…what would he have done if he didn’t win that award? We’ll never know.

3. Lil’ Wayne x Robin Thicke – “Tie My Hands” 2009 Grammy Awards

Lil’ Wayne delivered a heartfelt performance dedicated to his hometown of New Orleans at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Robin Thicke joined him for the sentimental performance of “Tie My Hands” from Wayne’s Carter III album. It was good to see a different side of Wayne.

2. Beyonce – “Dangerously In Love” 2003 Grammy Awards

Beyonce has come a long way from this performance, but this was the performance that let me know that Beyonce would be here to stay. When I first saw this performance I literally got goose bumps. Not only is Beyonce just a beautiful woman, but her voice is amazing. She could have easily took the stage with an upbeat performance of “Crazy In Love” or any of her other hits from her debut solo album, but she nailed it with this rendition of “Dangerously In Love”. The scary part is that Beyonce voice is keep on getting better and better.

1. Kanye West x Daft Punk – “Stronger/Hey Mama” 

Is this what y’all been waiting for? Kanye West brought a visually insane performance to the 2008 Grammy Awards complete with Daft Punk, the Electro group responsible for “Harder Better Faster Stronger” which Ye sampled for “Stronger”. The best part of this performance was definitely the new version of Kanye’s “Hey Mama” which he dedicated to his late mother, Donda West that night. So sad.

Executive editor of Grand Central Publishing, Ben Greenberg, seems excited about the project. “We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir. He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.”

Lately, Weezy has had the “Midas Touch”. We’ll see if his book will be as sucessful as his projects and proteges in the music industry.

Reuters reports that the book will be published on November 28.

5. Rebecca Black – “Friday”

We’re going to just keep this one really short…some jokes go way too far! Save it for the shower Rebecca.

4. Beyonce – “Run The World (Girls)”

Beyonce is one of the hottest chicks in the game. Unfortunately, “Run The World (Girls)” wasn’t one of the hottest things to happen in 2011. The Diplo produced beat was hot, but we already heard it on Major Lazer’s “Pon De Floor”…like almost exactly the same. Dirty Money also just sampled the song months before the single was released with their hit “Ass On The Floor”. The world didn’t really need the beat recycled again. The lyrics? Well, the hook was Kidz Bop ready. We do have to give Beyonce her props for the vocals, that Billboard Awards performance, and the video. We could have really done without the song though.

3. Lil’ Wayne – “How To Love”

Now this song really wasn’t completely horrible, but it’s just not what we wanted out of a Lil’ Wayne song. We don’t wat to hear Wayne sing. To be truthfully honest we really didn’t want to hear anything off of the Carter IV. Well, “She Will” was a hot record, but other than that Wayne could have kept that album and he should given “How To Love” to a singer. A real one.

2. Nicki Minaj - “Stupid Hoe”

“Stupid Hoe” just might be one of the worst Nicki Minaj album tracks. The silly comparisons of herself being platinum and others chopping wood are just dumb. Yes, maybe if Kim played her cards right she might have been able to come back, but this wasn’t the track to call anyone out on. The annoying childish singing and the ridiculously simple hook easily makes this track one of the worst singles of 2011. We expect more from Nicki Minaj especially after “Romans Revenge” if she’s trying to make another subliminal record. We know Nicki can do much better especially since Roman is back in town.

1. Wiz Khalifa – “Roll Up”

In the beginning of 2011 we watched Wiz reach the height of his popularity after dominating the mixtape game and setting up the release of one of the most anticipated albums of the year. With the success of “Black & Yellow”, we all had high hopes for “Roll Up”. Unfortunately, this song summed up Wiz’s wack attempt at going mainstream. With the hook “I roll up”, Wiz tried to keep his underground hip-hop fans happy while getting the vote from middle school parents. Nice try Wiz, Just keep ‘rolling up’ what you usually do and you will get our vote every-time.

For a song called “Y U Mad” I think that the YMCMB gang could have came a little harder. The video is here and the only interesting parts in my opinion are Nicki’s body and Nicki dressed as Wayne.
