<p>Looking for some feel good music with a purpose of peace? Look no further, Raheem DeVaughn is delivering positive good music and so much more on his latest offering, &#8220;The Love &amp; War Masterpeace&#8221;. The R&amp;B hippie and Neo-Soul Rockstar really delivered a beyond solid piece of work and you should definitely hit up your local retailer and support the project! Check out the full review after the jump.</p>
<p><strong>Track by Track Review.</strong></p>
<p>01. &#8220;Dr. Cornel West Intro&#8221; &#8211; Yes! Dr. Cornel West himself is all over this project, so you already know it&#8217;s going to be a good journey from the beginning. <span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 12px;">Dr. Cornell West proclaims as Raheem DeVaughn as the future of great music. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">02. &#8220;Bulletproof (ft. Ludacris)&#8221; &#8211; You have probably heard this single on your favorite radio station&#8230;if they play good music. You would never expect gun shots to sound so smooth and relaxing. Ludacris comes with his A game and states, &#8220;My future is ever clear/180 proof&#8221;&#8230;we couldn&#8217;t disagree. This is definitely a track to check out! </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">03. &#8220;The Greatness (ft. Wale)&#8221; &#8211; DeVaughn gets help from fellow DMV artist Wale on this track which praises the greatness of a woman. &#8220;<span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 12px;">Under the gloss of your lips is greatness/ Greatness underneath it all/ Beautiful inside out/ Love you inside out/ When you don’t feel beautiful at all&#8230;look at mirror on wall&#8221; The song contains really nice lyrics, but my favorite is the opening &#8220;Konichiwa Ladies&#8221;&#8230; if you know me you know that is a staple lol. </span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">04. &#8220;I Don&#8217;t Care&#8221; &#8211; This is a good track and it gives off a really feel good feeling. The track kind of reminds me of Robin Thicke&#8217;s &#8220;Magic&#8221;. Am I the only who hear the resemblance? </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">05. &#8220;Black and Blue&#8221; &#8211; Here&#8217;s Raheem DeVaughn&#8217;s fight against domestic abuse. &#8220;Love ain&#8217;t knocking you on the ground/Calling you out of your name&#8221; Really nice track and definitely relevant to these days. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">06. &#8220;Mr. Right&#8221; &#8211; When I hear this I get CCB&#8217;s &#8220;Phatty&#8221; in my head for some reason. Maybe I am just crazy&#8230;The title pretty much explains the message of this song, but it is one of my favorites on the album!</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">07. &#8220;Dr. Cornell West (Interlude)&#8221; &#8211; Just an interlude&#8230;don&#8217;t really mind it. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">08. &#8220;Fragile (ft. Malik Yusef)&#8221; &#8211; Ladies, if your heart requires a little Tender Loving Care put all of your faith in Raheem. Nice track. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">09. &#8220;My Wife&#8221; &#8211; This track has a nice message about not looking for a girlfriend, a married woman, and etc., but looking for that true wife. Nice message, but this is one of the weakest on the album.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">10. &#8220;B.O.B.&#8221; &#8211; Raheem isn&#8217;t singing about Bombs over Baghdad on this track, but he&#8217;s speaking about something that can&#8217;t do it like him&#8230;a battery operated boyfriend. This track definitely caught me off guard, but it&#8217;s a good one! </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">11. &#8220;Bedroom&#8221; &#8211; An average track with an old school feel. Not bad. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">12. &#8220;Microphone&#8221; &#8211; Another filler track&#8230;it&#8217;s alright.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">13. &#8220;Garden Of Love&#8221; &#8211; Nice track!</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">14. &#8220;Dr. Cornell West P.S.A.&#8221; &#8211; Mr. West is back to close the album. Again, don&#8217;t really mind it. The interludes really kept the album flowing. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">15.  &#8221;Revelations 2010 (ft. Damian Marley)&#8221; &#8211; This is one of my favorites on the album. The only thing missing is the homie Nasir Jones. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 19px;">Overall Album Rating: </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: small;"></p>
